Central Florida Homeschool Events & Blog
About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
We spend as much time as possible outdoors, playing and exploring. Our learning approach is Strength-Based and Interest-Led, with a strong foundation in Math and Language Arts. As a result, we often dive deep into Greek mythology, get lost in endless Pokémon Trading Card battles, and build more LEGO robots than we can count.

While my kids are passionate about STEM, they also have a deep love of literature and storytelling. We occasionally join group lessons to take advantage of hands-on experiments and up-close encounters with fascinating creatures. When it comes to math, we're always on the hunt for fresh, engaging challenges. And more often than not, you’ll find us extending our learning with extra-long playground adventures.

Our Story
The Young Edisons Club began as a way to build a community for my diverse homeschool tribe—then COVID happened. In the meantime, with annual state evaluations required, the blog naturally evolved into a living portfolio.

Florida may be hot, but it’s also an incredible place to homeschool. I use this space to document our journey—tracking books we've read, places we've explored, and projects we're tackling. We love test-driving learning apps, experimenting with different curricula, and diving into hands-on experiences.
Hopefully, we’ll be back to event planning soon, offering both academic and social opportunities this fall!

Hello!
I’m a homeschool mom of two amazing boys, navigating a world of curiosity, creativity, and big ideas. Our journey includes exploring Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Overexcitabilities, Profound Giftedness, Anxiety, Asynchrony, and Cystic Fibrosis—all while embracing the freedom and joy of learning at home.
I believe in strength-based, child-led education, where passions guide the way.
Whether we’re diving into Greek mythology, building LEGO robots, or getting lost in a great book, I love learning alongside my kids and creating an education that fits who they are.
They're Cool
